Newby hall hosts anually one of the biggest classic car rallies in the North East and the 18th July saw us arrive bright and early. This is the first year the NEMMOC has had its own stand at the show - previously people have just attended as individuals. There were 11 cars on our stand and there was plenty of interest in the cars from the general public
Kath and Arthur Henderson's dog, Bess, took the opportunity to model her new hi-vis coat complete with NEMMOC badge - she looked very fetching.
There are hundreds of cars at Newby, including vintage, veteran and classic, something for everyone in fact.
Newby Hall is a lovely setting for a rally, the cars are displayed in the parkland and visitors are allowed access to the formal gardens of the Hall which are really lovely. There is a large autojumble which provides plenty of shopping opportunities.
The club hopes to have a stand at Newby every year now.
