Drive It Day - 25 April 2010
Nine Morris Minors, plus a Mini and a VW Polo met at Washington Services, another three Minors joined us at Prudhoe and we all headed for Blanchland for a coffee stop. It was a lovely scenic drive but the weather was not promising, cloudy and showery.
After our coffee stop we set off for Killhope Lead Mining Museum, it was a fantastic convoy. Unfortunately, Killhope is in the middle of some alterations but it still made a good lunch stop. The weather here was absolutely bitter, (see the photo of some of us huddled in blankets).
Lunch over we then headed to Stanhope with a stop for more refreshments and then home.
An excellent. enjoyable drive it day with a fantastic turn-out. Thanks to everyone for joining in and to Arthur Henderson for planning the route.
